The recovery journey

From crisisto confidence.

Recovery isn't linear, and it isn't a destination. It's a daily practice — one we walk alongside our residents every step of the way.

Our approach

Holistic,
not transactional.

We understand that recovery is a journey, not a destination. Our holistic approach addresses not just housing needs, but also the emotional, social and practical challenges that individuals face.

Every resident enters a structured but flexible programme tailored to where they are — and where they want to go.

Five stages

A path designed for
real progress.

Most residents move through these stages over 6–18 months, though every journey is unique.

  1. 01

    Stage One

    Stabilisation

The first few weeks are about safety, rest and adjustment. Residents settle into their new home, meet their case manager, and begin daily routines that anchor recovery.

  2. 02

    Stage Two

    Foundation Building

With stability in place, residents begin engaging with our programmes — counselling, life skills workshops and peer support groups become weekly anchors.

  3. 03

    Stage Three

    Skill Development

Residents take on greater responsibility — managing their own budget, cooking for the house, leading meetings. Confidence and competence grow together.

  4. 04

    Stage Four

    Reintegration

Job placement, community involvement, and reconnecting with family. Residents start building the external life that will sustain them after Liberty Living.

  5. 05

    Stage Five

    Independent Living

Graduates transition to their own housing — but never leave the community. Our alumni network provides lifelong connection, support and accountability.

Four pillars

Healing happens
on every level.

Emotional

Counselling, mindfulness practices and trauma-informed care address the deeper roots of addiction.

Social

Peer connections, group meetings and family reconciliation rebuild the bonds that sustain recovery.

Practical

Life skills, financial literacy and employment readiness create the foundation for independence.

Environmental

A safe, substance-free home with structure and accountability replaces chaos with calm.

Recovery is not a destination —
it is the daily practice of becoming whole again.
